Jeff’s path into real estate started at home. His mother built a successful real estate career in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana, and her example is what drew him to the business. He graduated from Indiana University in 2001 with a B.S. in Economics and moved to downtown Chicago that same year.

Before real estate, Jeff worked in sales, management and consulting. His first Illinois real estate license, a salesperson license, took effect on August 29, 2003, and he has held his current broker license since January 5, 2010, according to the IDFPR license record. He joined @properties in July 2004 and has stayed with the brokerage ever since, through its growth into @properties Christie’s International Real Estate. Today he leads the JProctor Group from its Chicago office at 806 N Peoria St.

Chicago has been Jeff’s main market from the start, and more than 11 years living in Bucktown gave him a resident’s view of the city’s neighborhoods. After moving his family to Elmhurst, he expanded into the western suburbs, including Elmhurst, Hinsdale, Glen Ellyn, Western Springs and Clarendon Hills.

His recent closings on Zillow show that range: condos in downtown’s Lakeshore East and in Uptown on the North Side, plus homes in Downers Grove, Des Plaines and Geneva, on both the buyer and seller side. The team’s past transactions page shows more of that history.

Jeff has worked through every major Chicago market shift since 2003: the mid-2000s run-up, the 2008 housing crash and the slow recovery that followed, the 2020 pandemic surge, and the mortgage-rate increases of 2022 and 2023. That history shows up in how he prices homes and how he negotiates.

One seller who listed a condo with Jeff during a difficult market said he “painted a clear picture as to his strategy” and “totally guarded our interests during the negotiation process.” Buyers describe the same patience: knowing which parts of the city fit them and finding homes before they had to ask.
